The General Department of Vietnam Customs (GDVC) has requested its subordinate units improve their scores and maintain their rank of law compliance cost (Index B1) in 2021.

It has also asked units to continue complying with the GDVC’s Decision 1649 on the promulgation of the plan to implement the Government’s Resolution 68.
The Customs IT and Statistics Department is required to work with relevant departments to announce the results issued by the GDVC on cut and simplification of procedures related to business on the Customs portal.
GDVC’s departments are requested to update, supplement and complete revised data on regulations related to business activities. Maintain and promote operational models in practice to collect and update information, receive feedbacks from individuals and enterprises to contact and dialogue with representatives of firms and business associations to solve their difficulties and problems.
Strictly comply with citizen reception regulations at Customs units to ensure facilities for people and businesses to present complaints, denunciations and recommendations. Notify the citizen reception schedule and guiding documents at customs offices.
Inspect and supervise receipt and processing information via the GDVC’s hotline and ensure the smooth operation of the hotline 24/7. Received information must be handled in accurate and timely manner, ensuring the confidentiality of information providers.
Check settlement of complaints, denunciations, recommendations and reflections of individuals and enterprises to prevent and detect violations. Handle violations strictly; ensure professional, modern, civilised and polite working style and attitude in communication and behaviour of customs officials; improve responsibility and reputation of the Customs authority.
In addition, the GDVC also asked units to implement solutions mentioned in Directive No. 10 dated April 22, 2019 of the Prime Minister on handling and preventing causing trouble for people and businesses during work.
Strengthen inspection public service performance, rectify and handle units and officials causing difficulties, troubles or burdens for firms.
Receive and return results of processing administrative procedures via the public postal service of the GDVC and local departments to save money and time for the people and enterprises, contributing to the prevention and control of the Covid-19 pandemic.
