The Customs authority is also organizing an experiment to deploy the electronic barrier system at Green Port under Hai Phong port area 3 Customs Branch management.
In addition, the General Department of Customs has upgraded and supplemented the functions of the Electronic Positioning Seal System to meet the supervision of goods subject to customs supervision transported by container.
Currently, the General Department of Vietnam Customs is purchasing 5,000 electronic positioning seals. The number of seals used to monitor goods has increased significantly at provincial and city customs departments. Accordingly, 10,805 times of seals were used in the first six months of 2021.
The use of positioning seals aims to improve the efficiency of customs supervision for goods transported on roads by special vehicles and containers through the application of new technology. Thereby helping to limit the shortcomings in customs supervision, helping Customs have a completely proactive monitoring tool.
