Agricultural-forestry-aquatic exports saw a year-on-year increase of 28.2 percent in the first half of 2021, reaching US$24.23 billion, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
Specifically, export value of agricultural, aquatic and forestry products hit US$10.4 billion, US$4.05 billion and US$8.7 billion, witnessing respective growths of 13.3 percent, 12.5 percent and 61.5 percent against the same period last year.
Top export products included rubber (up 41.3 percent and 80 percent, respectively), cashew (up 22.2 percent and 11.1 percent) and cassava (up 16.3 percent and 30.5 percent).
The U.S. took the lead in importing Vietnamese farm products with US$6.7 billion, up 59.8 percent and accounting for 27.9 percent. It was followed by China with US$4.75 billion, up 32.1 percent and making up 19.6 percent.
