The Ministry of Health confirmed 3,794 domestic infection cases of COVID-19 on Saturday morning, raising the national tally to 197,175.

The number of daily new COVID-19 cases from July 20 to 6:00 am on August 7.

The latest patients are residents in 17 localities: HCMC (1,836), Binh Duong (882), Dong Nai (466), Tien Giang (165), Long An (160), Ba Ria-Vung Tau (100), Vinh Long (62), Phu Yen (31), Son La (20), Kien Giang (17), Binh Dinh (17), Lam Dong (12), Dong Thap (11), Dak Nong (7), Hai Duong (3), Bac Lieu (3) and Thanh Hoa (2). Of these, 933 were uncovered in the community. 

Among the national patient tally, 194,837 are locally-transmitted cases, including 193,267 documented in 62 cities and provinces since April 27 when the fourth wave of COVID-19 resurgence began.

Two out of the above localities have gone 14 days without community infection, namely Quang Ninh and Bac Kan.

The total recoveries were 62,332.

Among the current positive cases, 518 patients have been warded in the intensive care units, of whom 18 are in critical conditions.

As of late August 6, 8,528,267 vaccine doses were administered, with 863,323 people fully vaccinated./.
