The project is invested by EVNNPT, managed and supervised by CPMB, and operated by Power Transmission Company No. 1 - a subsidiary of EVNNPT.
The transmission line runs through Tam Quang, Chau Khe, Con Cuong, Mon Son, Vinh Tuong, Anh Son, Yen Xuan, Cat Ngan, and Do Luong communes.

The project consists of a newly built double-circuit 220kV transmission line with a total length of approximately 80.66 kilometers. It includes the expansion of two 220kV feeder bays on the west side of the existing Do Luong 220kV substation. The expansion area lies within the land adjacent to the western side of the existing substation in Do Luong commune.
Once energized, the project enhances the stability and reliability of power supply for Nghe An province. It releases generation capacity from the Nam Mo hydropower plant cluster in Laos, the My Ly and Nam Mo 1 hydropower plants, as well as other medium and small hydropower plants in the region through the Tuong Duong 220kV substation into the national power system.
During implementation, the project faced numerous challenges related to land clearance compensation, combined with frequent adverse weather conditions and typhoons in the region throughout 2025.
However, thanks to the close direction of EVNNPT, the strong support and coordination of local authorities in Nghe An, and the cooperation of residents along the route, the transmission line was successfully completed and put into operation more than one month ahead of the schedule approved by the provincial People’s Committee.

The energization reflects the dedication of CPMB and EVNNPT staffs, celebrating the fifth Congress of the EVNNPT Trade Union for the 2025-2030 term to be held in early December and also marking the 71st anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnamese power sector (December 21, 1954-2025).
