In the context of the country entering a new stage of development with the goal of high growth, the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 16th National Party Congress and the Five-Year Socio-Economic Development Plan for 2026–2030 will be important foundations contributing to realizing the two centennial goals set by the Party. Therefore, becoming a deputy of the 16th National Assembly for the 2026–2031 term is not only a great honor but also a sacred responsibility before the Party, the State, and the People.
Associate Professor, PhD Hồ Sỹ Hùng – Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry runs for election to the 16th National Assembly of Vietnam for the 2026–2031 term in Constituency No. 4 of Hanoi.
During more than 30 years of service, Associate Professor, PhD Hồ Sỹ Hùng has held many different positions, from practical activities at enterprises to departments and specialized agencies of the former Ministry of Planning and Investment and now the Ministry of Finance. In particular, regardless of the position he held, Associate Professor, PhD Hồ Sỹ Hùng has maintained close ties with the activities of the business community and Vietnamese entrepreneurs, as well as with advisory work in formulating viewpoints, orientations, guidelines, and policies of the Party, the State, and the Government for the development of enterprises, entrepreneurs, and the economy.
VCCI President Hồ Sỹ Hùng emphasized that the Memorandum of Cooperation between VCCI and Quảng Ninh Province for the 2026–2030 period is a practical framework for action and a crystallization of shared trust, responsibility, and aspiration. After 40 years of Renovation, the country is entering a new stage of development under major orientations and directions of the Party and the State. This is also the period when the team of entrepreneurs and the Vietnamese business community continue to grow strongly and achieve breakthrough growth. The rapid growth target of the economy is also the aspiration of each enterprise in the new era.

On the path ahead, the Party, the State, the National Assembly, and the Government are increasingly improving institutions and policies to create momentum for rapid and sustainable growth.
Running for election to the 16th National Assembly for the 2026–2031 term, Associate Professor, PhD Hồ Sỹ Hùng emphasized that the National Assembly is the highest representative body of the people’s power, where the will and aspirations for national development are crystallized.

Therefore, the VCCI President affirmed that he will continuously study, train, and enhance political courage, professional capacity, theoretical level, and legislative skills in order to proactively and actively contribute effectively to the activities of the National Assembly, especially in lawmaking, deciding on major national issues related to the country, the economy, and the Vietnamese business community, and exercising supreme oversight over the activities of agencies within the state apparatus.

In addition, Associate Professor, PhD Hồ Sỹ Hùng committed to maintaining close connections with the people and the business community, regularly meeting, listening to opinions, aspirations, and recommendations from voters, especially practical issues related to people’s livelihoods, the investment and business environment, and social security. On that basis, he will promptly and truthfully reflect them to the National Assembly, the Government, and competent authorities for effective and appropriate solutions.

In his role as President of VCCI – the national organization representing the Vietnamese business community – and as a candidate for the National Assembly in Hanoi, a center that creates and leads the country’s sustainable development based on science and technology, digital transformation, and innovation, with deep knowledge of the economy, Associate Professor, PhD Hồ Sỹ Hùng together with other National Assembly deputies will strengthen voter engagement activities, proactively grasp urgent demands in investment for transport infrastructure, technology infrastructure, and data infrastructure to serve socio-economic growth, promote new growth drivers, ensure national defense and security, and contribute to sustainable regional and national development.
