Pursuant to the Charter of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front and based on the working program for the entire 2024–2029 term of the Presidium and the Central Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front for its 10th tenure, on the afternoon of January 14. On behalf of MTTQ Vietnam, Mr. Hoang Cong Thuy, Vice President, presented the Proposal on the consultative nomination for participation in the Central Committee, the Presidium, and the position of part-time Vice President of the Central Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front for the 10th tenure, term 2024–2029; as well as the Proposal on the consultative nomination for the position of Vice President cum Secretary General of the Central Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front for the 10th tenure, term 2024–2029.

At the afternoon session on January 14, the 6th Conference of the Central Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front (10th tenure) focused on personnel consultation work.
Regarding personnel participating in the Central Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front for the 10th tenure, Vice President Hoang Cong Thuy stated that following the 5th Conference of the Central Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front, the number of members of the Central Committee was 375; members of the Presidium numbered 66; and the Standing Committee consisted of 9 members.
“Since that time, due to requirements related to organizational restructuring, assignment, rotation of officials, retirement in accordance with regulations, and organizational consolidation, there have been changes in the personnel participating in the Central Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front,” Vice President Hoang Cong Thuy noted.
He further explained that, based on the Charter of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front and current regulations, the Presidium has reviewed and consolidated cases of personnel ceasing participation, while proposing the addition of new personnel to ensure continuity, stability, representativeness, and to promote the role and strength of the great national unity bloc.
With 100% of delegates present voting to approve the content of the Proposal on consultative nomination, Mr. Ho Sy Hung, President of VCCI, officially joined the Presidium and the Central Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front.
According to Vice President Hoang Cong Thuy, the number of personnel ceasing participation in the Central Committee in accordance with regulations was 13; the number of personnel proposed for addition to the Central Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front was 18, including: 5 individuals who are heads or key leaders of member organizations; and 13 individuals who are Chairpersons of provincial and municipal Fatherland Front Committees newly consolidated pursuant to decisions of competent authorities.
With regard to personnel proposed for addition to the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front, the Proposal clearly stated that the heads of member organizations included two individuals: Mr. Ho Sy Hung, President of the Viet Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI); and Ms. Do Thi Thu Thao, President of the Viet Nam Red Cross Society.
The Chairpersons of provincial and municipal Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committees included: Ms. Bui Huyen Mai, Member of the Standing Committee of the Hanoi Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Hanoi Fatherland Front Committee; and Ms. Bui Thi Minh, Deputy Secretary of the Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Phu Tho Fatherland Front Committee.

Regarding full-time officials of the Central Committee of MTTQ Vietnam, the Proposal included Ms. Nong Thi Mai Huyen, Member of the Central Committee of MTTQ Vietnam and Head of the Organization and Inspection Department of the Central Committee’s Office.
“With respect to the position of part-time Vice President, the Presidium proposes the consultative nomination of Ms. Bui Huyen Mai, Member of the Standing Committee of the Hanoi Party Committee and President of the Hanoi Fatherland Front Committee, to serve as a part-time Vice President of the Central Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front, ensuring compliance with the organizational structure, conditions, and practical requirements,” Vice President Hoang Cong Thuy stated.
He also noted that following the personnel consolidation, the total number of members of the Central Committee would be 380; members of the Presidium would total 69; the Standing Committee would consist of 8 members; and there would be 7 part-time Vice Presidents.
At the Conference, 100% of delegates present voted to approve the content of the Proposal on the consultative nomination of 18 individuals to participate in the Central Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front; 5 individuals to participate in the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front; and 1 individual to hold the position of part-time Vice President of the Central Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front for the 10th tenure, term 2024–2029.
