On October 16, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Central Highlands - Central Region Branch (VCCI Central Highlands - Central Region) welcomed the European Union (EU) Delegation with trade counselors from 14 EU member countries. The European Union delegation was led by Mr. Ulrich Weigl - EU Minister Counselor.

VCCI Central Highlands - Central Region worked with the European Union (EU) Delegation, with trade counselors from 14 EU member countries.
At the meeting, the two sides exchanged information on the investment environment in Da Nang as well as opportunities in implementing cooperation activities, business connections, and investment.
Specifically, Mr. Nguyen Tien Quang - Director of VCCI Central Highlands - Central Region shared information on the investment environment, business community activities in Da Nang and also proposed priority areas for cooperation,... In particular, Da Nang after the merger will create new growth momentum with many new policies and models with unique and outstanding characteristics such as Free Trade Zone, International Financial Center... will be a destination in strongly attracting investment capital and trade flows.
At the same time, this also opens up many opportunities for domestic and foreign investors and businesses, including EU countries. Mr. Nguyen Tien Quang also highly appreciated the EU's initiative in implementing the program of high-level counselors visiting to work and learn about the environment and investment opportunities in Da Nang and suggested that high-level counselors from other countries continue to implement more effective trade and investment connection activities.

The delegation of the European Union requested VCCI to continue to play the role of connecting trade and investment and actively implement activities to improve the investment environment.
"VCCI Central - Central Highlands is ready to coordinate and accompany businesses from the EU", Mr. Quang emphasized.
On the side of the European Union Delegation, Mr. Ulrich Weigl - Counselor of the EU Embassy also informed about the delegation's goal of learning about the investment environment and policies of Da Nang city. He also thanked and appreciated the information and proposed ideas for bilateral cooperation of VCCI Central - Central Highlands.
Along with that, the European Union Delegation also requested VCCI to continue to play the role of connecting trade and investment and actively implement activities to improve the investment environment to create more favorable conditions for investors from the EU.
