Meeting between VCCI and KCCI

At the meeting with Mr. Pham Tan Cong, President of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), Mr. Yun Ok Hyon, Chief Representative of the Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam (KCCI) said that in the past, many South Korean businesses were interested in the Vietnamese market. However, investment promotion and market research have been hit by the COVID-19 pandemic. "As social distancing measures are completely removed, South Korea's investment inflows to Vietnam will step up rapidly", Mr. Yun Ok Hyon said.

On the other hand, 2022 marks the 30th anniversary of Vietnam-South Korea diplomatic relations, so Mr. Yun Ok Hyon asked VCCI to co-host some events, among which is the Vietnam-South Korea Business Forum, which is planned to be held at the end of 2022.

Through this forum, the business communities on both sides will have the opportunity to boost business cooperation. Many fields are currently prioritized by Vietnam to attract investment, such as clean energy, waste treatment, environment...

VCCI President Pham Tan Cong said that over the years, VCCI and KCCI have had many effective cooperation programs, creating a bridge for businesses of the two countries to speed up production and business. 

"KCCI and VCCI will continue their current cooperation and build a new cooperation program between the Vietnamese and Korean business communities", VCCI President suggested, adding that VCCI always supports KCCI in general and Korean businesses in particular in connecting and looking for partners and projects in Vietnam to further promote the economic cooperation relationship in the new normal.
