On April 18, 2026, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in collaboration with Andrews University and the Quảng Ninh Business Association, held the opening ceremony of a CEO training program in Quảng Ninh.

On behalf of the Quảng Ninh Provincial People’s Committee, Mr. Lê Văn Ánh, Vice Chairman, highly appreciated VCCI’s CEO training program in Quảng Ninh, considering it a key initiative to enhance corporate governance capacity and support the development of local enterprises under the cooperation agreement recently signed between VCCI and the provincial authorities.
Notably, the training course is held in the context where the Politburo has approved the policy to establish Quảng Ninh as a centrally governed city, and the Hà Nội – Quảng Ninh high-speed railway project has just been launched, shortening travel time between Hà Nội and Quảng Ninh to 23 minutes, thereby opening up strong development opportunities for local businesses.
The Provincial Party Committee and People’s Committee are also actively directing efforts to reduce administrative processing time and procedures related to citizens and businesses, particularly minimizing both official and unofficial costs for enterprises.

Vice Chairman Lê Văn Ánh also expressed support for continued coordination with VCCI to organize subsequent CEO training courses, and proposed that VCCI facilitate connections for Quảng Ninh enterprises to network, collaborate, and learn from major enterprises nationwide, thereby enabling them to join supply chains and business ecosystems across the country.

Ms. Hà Thị Thu Thanh, Vice President of the Vietnam Women Entrepreneurs Council and former Chairwoman of Deloitte Vietnam, delivers a lecture at the Quảng Ninh CEO course.
Speaking at the ceremony, VCCI Vice President Bùi Trung Nghĩa stated that this CEO training program is part of the 2026 action plan to implement the Memorandum of Understanding between the Quảng Ninh Provincial People’s Committee and VCCI, signed on February 9, 2026, aimed at improving the business and investment environment, enhancing competitiveness, and supporting investment attraction for the 2026–2030 period.
The program also contributes to achieving the goal of training 10,000 CEOs as set out in Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW dated May 4, 2025 of the Politburo on private sector development.
In addition, the program is expected to help Vietnamese enterprises improve resilience and adaptability to global fluctuations affecting the national economy, including geopolitical tensions impacting fuel prices and logistics, changes in U.S. tariff policies toward Vietnam, domestic fiscal and monetary policies, and the impact of technological advancements such as artificial intelligence on human resource management strategies.
Through this training course, VCCI continues to play a key role in accompanying and supporting business owners and executives in corporate governance.
Following this CEO course in Quảng Ninh, VCCI is preparing to launch the second CEO training course in Hà Nội on May 15, 2026 (detailed information is available on the VCCI website under “Upcoming Events”).
