In his opening remarks, Mr. Nguyen Nhat Linh, Secretary of the Youth Union of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central Mass Organizations, stated that Vietnam is entering a new stage of development with the goal of becoming a developed, high-income country by 2045. To achieve this objective, the Party has issued a number of strategic resolutions and policies aimed at unlocking resources and creating new drivers of economic growth.
Among them, Politburo Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW marks a significant milestone by affirming the private sector as an important driver of the economy. The Resolution also reflects a shift in governance from management to development facilitation, creating favorable conditions for enterprises and entrepreneurs to maximize their capabilities and foster innovation.
Resolution No. 68 not only sets expectations for the business community but also calls on public officials, civil servants, and particularly the younger generation to take an active role in its implementation.
"Behind every enterprise are people; behind every policy are those responsible for putting it into practice; and behind the aspiration for national development lies the pioneering role of the younger generation," Mr. Linh emphasized.
According to the Secretary of the Youth Union of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central Mass Organizations, the forum was intended not only to study the Resolution but also to clarify the responsibilities of young people in translating the Party’s policies into practical action.
The Youth Union system of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central Mass Organizations currently brings together members from 14 grassroots youth organizations operating across a wide range of sectors. This diversity provides each organization with the opportunity to leverage its professional strengths and contribute to the development of the private sector in different ways.

Overview of the forum
Accordingly, young members of the Vietnam Journalists Association can help disseminate the Party’s policies through objective and people-centered journalism; members of the Vietnam Lawyers Association can contribute to institutional improvement and legal awareness for businesses; members of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations can promote innovation and technology transfer; members of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour can work alongside employees to foster harmonious labour relations; while members of the Vietnam Farmers’ Union can contribute to agricultural development and value chain enhancement in rural areas.
According to Mr. Nguyen Nhat Linh, although these organizations adopt different approaches, they all share the common goal of empowering young people to translate the Party’s major policies into concrete actions.

During the forum, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thuong Lang, an expert in economics and international trade and Senior Lecturer at the Institute of Trade and International Economics of the National Economics University, observed that Resolution No. 68 opens up significant opportunities for the younger generation at a time when Vietnam is benefiting from its demographic dividend and a dynamic, creative workforce.
He noted that young people can contribute to the development of the private sector in many ways, including working for enterprises, learning from successful business models, starting their own businesses, or researching innovative production and business models.
To seize these opportunities, young people should proactively equip themselves with professional knowledge, digital skills, artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities, foreign language proficiency, management skills, and an innovative mindset. At the same time, they should regard science and technology, digital transformation, and green transformation as key drivers for enhancing competitiveness, while remaining resilient in the face of challenges and continuously improving their ways of working.
Sharing this view, Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan Ngoc, Director of the Hanoi Branch of TPBank, stated that as Resolution No. 68 identifies the private sector as an important driver of the economy, young people should become the pioneering force in turning this vision into reality through aspiration, innovation, and technological capability.
