Delegates attending the Conference.
The conference was attended by the following dignitaries: Le Van Luong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee; Hoàng Quang Phong - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI); leaders of provincial and city departments and sectors of Lai Chau; and representatives from the Business Associations of the Northwestern provinces: Hoa Binh, Son La, Đien Bien, Lai Chau, Tuyen Quang, and Phu Tho.
When the Business Associations of the Northwestern Provinces was first established in 2022, it included 4 associations. Now, it has expanded to include 6 associations. Specifically, the Lai Chau Business Association has over 500 members; Đien Bien has 200 members; Sơn La has 838 members; Tuyen Quang has 523 member businesses; Phu Tho has 650 members; and Hoa Binh has 700 members.

Conference overview
In 2024, the Business Associations of the provinces operated in accordance with their principles, purposes, and the association's charter, while adhering to the guidelines of the Party, the policies and laws of the State, and local regulations. The association played an effective role as a bridge, connecting businesses within the province; organizing workshops, seminars, training courses, and experience exchanges on negotiation, contract signing, and implementation; supporting digital transformation, and enhancing competitiveness. At the same time, it participated in key dialogues and activities related to the province's economic, cultural, and social development. The Business Associations of the Northwestern Provinces have effectively fulfilled their role as representatives of the business community.
The Business Associations regularly provide updates on the socio-economic development results of each province, investment attraction policies, and share solutions, experiences, and effective methods for supporting businesses through dialogues, addressing business concerns, difficulties, and challenges. The business associations have also strengthened collaboration to cooperate, link, support, and assist each other in expanding the supply chains of products, goods, services, and OCOP products in the provinces.
Social and charitable activities are a focus for the associations. In 2024, the Lai Châu Business Association contributed and received donations from the Business Associations of the provinces to build two "gratitude houses" for disadvantaged families in the two communes of San Thang and Sung Phai, Lai Chau city, with a total amount of 600 million VND for the two houses....

In the coming time, the Business Associations of the provinces will continue to strengthen investment promotion, expand cooperation, and foster links between businesses; implement the agreements that have been signed; research and organize experience exchange programs, share information, improve organizational, management, and operational capacity, and connect associations for experience sharing; organize activities for cooperation and mutual support in implementing social welfare policies and sustainable poverty reduction; enhance research, propose solutions, and exchange views on emerging issues in areas such as the market, policies, labor, finance, and credit.
During the conference discussion, representatives of the Business Associations of the provinces summarized the achievements and the organizational activities of the associations. They also proposed solutions to overcome the difficulties and challenges encountered during the implementation process.

In his directive speech at the conference, Mr. Hoang Quang Phong, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), highly praised the linkage and mutual support among the Business Associations of the provinces, as well as the collaboration of businesses in the socio-economic development of localities. He also emphasized that VCCI and the localities will continue to stand by businesses, reduce administrative procedures, revise regulations in business sectors, improve the investment and business environment, and resolve difficulties and obstacles in production and business activities.

In his directive speech at the conference, Mr. Le Van Luong, Chairman of Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee, requested that the Business Associations of the provinces continue to enhance connectivity and share information promptly, with more diverse activities. He also expressed the desire that, in the coming time, the Business Associations of the provinces would further strengthen their association activities, focus on developing and caring for their members, and pay attention to social welfare work. He urged the associations to intensify investment promotion, expand cooperation, and foster links between businesses. Additionally, he proposed that they take turns organizing workshops and seminars to find solutions and make policy recommendations, which could serve as a basis for requesting relevant authorities to review and amend policies to better support and create favorable conditions for investment, production, and business activities.

At the Conference, representatives of the Provincial Business Associations signed the cooperation agreement for 2025. The Lai Chau Provincial Business Association awarded the rotating flag to the Tuyen Quang Provincial Business Association - the host of the Conference in 2026.
