Speaking at the event, Ms. Le Thi Thu Thuy, Deputy Director of the Institute for Enterprise Development, VCCI, said that in the context of global geopolitics and trade with many fluctuations with increasing protectionism trends, especially the opportunity to access the US market with the risk of narrowing due to tariff fluctuations, Vietnamese enterprises are actively seeking export opportunities to the EU, a strategic market with great potential, stable demand and special openness for green and sustainable products.

Therefore, VCCI, with the support of experts from EY Consulting Vietnam Joint Stock Company (EY Consulting VN) and Vinacontrol, organized a training course to equip Vietnamese export enterprises with the necessary knowledge and skills to meet the increasingly high requirements of the EU market, thereby improving their competitiveness and sustainable development in the context of deep international economic integration.
Participating in this training course not only helps enterprises grasp new regulations but also creates conditions for enterprises to connect and share experiences, thereby building a network of mutual support in the process of sustainable green transformation.
Experts shared with businesses the knowledge and skills needed to meet the new requirements of the European Green Deal, including: Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism; Eco-design Regulations; Farm-to-Fork Strategy and Extended Producer Responsibility. EU Green Deal and ESG policies in Vietnam (Decision 232/QD-TTg on carbon market, Decree 119/2025/ND-CP on greenhouse gas emission reduction).
Experts also helped businesses assess the current situation, identify gaps and develop action plans. Practice carbon reporting and auditing; provide processes and tools for businesses exporting to the EU to comply with new regulations from 2026; apply digital transformation in energy management and emission reduction.
From an expert perspective, Mr. Nguyen Viet Long, Deputy General Director, EY Vietnam, affirmed that green transformation is not only a compliance requirement but also an opportunity for Vietnamese enterprises to improve their competitiveness, access sustainable financial resources and build international brands.
