In their opening remarks, Ms. Tori N. Tveit, Director of the International Cooperation Program (NHO), and Ms. Liv Tørres, Head of the External Relations Department (LO), emphasized the essential role of social dialogue in responding to current global challenges such as changes in traditional labor structures due to digital transformation; population aging; climate change and political instability. LO Vice President - Ms. Henriette Jevnaker called on trade unions and employers' organizations to continue promoting substantive dialogue, based on mutual respect, cooperation and trust, thereby moving towards sustainable development and protecting workers' rights.

Vietnam shares implementation results and cooperation initiatives
At the conference, the delegations presented the summary report of the “Social Partners for Decent Work” program for the period 2024-2025.
The Vietnamese delegation shared the results achieved, challenges in implementation, and practical lessons, especially initiatives that can be flexibly applied to other countries. The presentations were all related to the conference's cross-cutting themes such as supporting the implementation of effective wage policies, promoting gender equality in the workplace, building trust between parties, improving collective bargaining mechanisms, and promoting dialogue at the national, sectoral and enterprise levels.

During the working trip to Norway, the delegation of VCCI and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor had a working session with the Embassy of Vietnam in Norway to share contents related to the cooperation between partners in Vietnam and Norway in the past time in the field of vocational education and promoting labor relations as well as cooperation opportunities in the next period.
