The 2026 Spring Fair at the Vietnam Exposition Center concluded on February 13, drawing an estimated 500,000 visits over its 12-day run since February 2 and generating strong sales as well as multiple cooperation agreements.

More than 3,000 stalls displayed tens of thousands of products highlighting regional specialties, creating a space rich in cultural identity.

The fair captured the spirit of a warm, family-centered Tet (Lunar New Year) while taking visitors on a nationwide spring journey through cultural, culinary and experiential activities.

Combined traditional folk elements with modern presentation, the week-long event offered visitors both familiarity and fresh appeal.

Each product carried the cultural identity of its region. Blending commerce with cultural experiences helped raise product value, build consumer trust and strengthen pride in Vietnamese goods.

On-site revenue exceeded VND300 billion (US$11.6 million), excluding the value of contracts and trade deals signed during the event. About 75% of participating businesses reported strong growth, especially on weekends.

Some companies posted daily earnings ranging from several million to hundreds of millions of dong.

Beyond sales, the fair gave companies, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises, a platform to expand retail networks and engage directly with customers.

The event connected manufacturers, distributors and consumers, serving as a key supply-demand hub.

Delegations from India, the Philippines, Belgium, South Korea, Japan and China attended, reinforcing Vietnam’s image as a stable and promising trade destination.

At the closing ceremony on February 13, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said the fair effectively stimulated domestic consumption, a major growth driver and strengthened links between domestic and international markets.

He said the event reflected Vietnam’s transformation, its global ambitions and the growing presence of Vietnamese brands abroad.

Chinh added that strong consumer confidence in products known for quality, design and cultural value showed Vietnam’s ability to host regional and international trade events.

He said the fair also fostered social cohesion, strengthened national solidarity and symbolized hope for a prosperous new year.

To build on the results, the prime minister urged the Ministry of Industry and Trade and relevant agencies to intensify the “Vietnamese people prioritize Vietnamese goods” campaign.  

He called for turning preference for domestic products into lasting trust and pride, supporting national growth targets.

Chinh stressed the need to strengthen market inspections to ensure adequate supplies of quality goods reach consumers.

At the ceremony, the prime minister and deputy prime ministers presented certificates to organizations and enterprises that contributed to the fair’s success.

Declaring the first Spring Fair closed, Chinh said future national trade fairs should achieve six improvements: larger scale, higher stature, deeper linkages, more professional organization, wider outreach and greater benefits for the public.
