The rate of Green channel declarations hasincreasedand Red channel declarations have fallen at Hai Phong Customs Department continues to decrease, while the rate of the Yellow channel declaration remains stable.

A total of 111,243 declarations were handled in February by Hai Phong Customs Department, a year-on-year dropof 14.7% and a month-on-month reduction of 30.62%. The sharp decrease in declarations is due to a long Lunar New Year holiday.

A total of 63,157 import declarations and 48,086 export declarations in the total declarationswere handled by Hai Phong Customs in February.

A total of 29,923 declarations were handled by the Export Processing Zone and Industrial Park Customs Branch. 3,443 declarations were handled by Hai PhongSea Port Customs Branch of Zone 1.

The rate of declarations classified into Green channel continued to increase by 66%, and the rate of declarations classified into Red channel reduced from 3.7% in January to 3.2% in February, the remaining rate is Yellow channel declarations.

By the end of February, Hai Phong Customs Department had collected VND 9,497 billion, 16.96% of the target assigned by the Ministry of Finance, and 16.4% of the target assigned by the General Department of Vietnam Customs, a year-on-year increase of 11.6%.

Four of the nine customs branches under Hai Phong Customs Department have earned revenue worth VND 1,000 million or more.

Hai Phong Seaport Customs Branch collected VND 2,780 billion. This branch has earned the most revenue in Hai Phong Customs Department in recent years,because car imports aremainly carried out here.

Hai Phong Seaport Customs Branch of Zone 3 collected VND 1,530 billion, Dinh Vu Seaport Customs Branch collected VND 1,437 billion and the Investment/Processing Customs Branch collected VND 1,394 billion.
