This is the sharing of Mr. Tran Ba Duong - Co-Chairman of the leading Business Council in Vietnam, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Truong Hai Auto Corporation (THACO) at the meeting of the Council on March 8 regarding the construction and implementation of the work program in 2024.

Mr. Tran Ba Duong - Co-Chairman of the leading Business Council in Vietnam, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Truong Hai Auto Corporation (THACO), shared at the Council meeting.
Mr. Tran Ba Duong stated that when the leading Business Council in Vietnam is established, each member will feel a responsibility and pressure to develop their own businesses well and to be exemplary figures of top entrepreneurs. At the same time, it promotes the Vietnamese business community as a whole, creating an environment for consultation and feedback to the Party and the State on solutions to promote the increasingly strong development of the business community to become leading enterprises sooner.
"This pressure and task, to some extent, interact and serve as a motivation not only to promote the development of individually owned businesses and the development of the entrepreneur's role from within, but also as a desire to foster development and spread it to the community to have more leading enterprises among the current ranks of Vietnamese businesses and entrepreneurs," Mr. Duong shared.
The meeting of the leading Business Council in Vietnam on March 8 regarding the construction and implementation of the work program for 2024.
According to Mr. Duong, the economy has seen development in recent times, but the shaping of strengths, strategies, and future orientations of current businesses also need to be reassessed. The context of integration not only involves competing in foreign markets but also competing in the domestic market... therefore, to promote strong and sustainable development, cooperation within the business community is essential.
Currently, many community business organizations are still at a grassroots level compared to those in other countries, and their activities have not yet made significant impacts or distinctive directions. Therefore, as the officially recognized organization at the voluntary level, tasked by the Party and the State, VCCI needs to provide supportive solutions and guidance to promote the development of businesses.
"In my role as Co-Chairman, I fully agree with the proposed regulations of the leading Business Council in Vietnam, especially those concerning the responsibilities and roles of the Council members in activities. Additionally, the direction of the work program for 2024 proposed by the Council is very appropriate for the current business environment. Achieving the outlined directions will have certain impacts. For instance, the media and communication work program, besides creating specific impacts within its framework, will also guide appropriate behavior of businesses towards the media and communication to foster dissemination," Mr. Duong shared.
He also believes that after establishing regulations and operational directions, the next step should be expanding the Council's activities, reaching out more to the business community to increase motivation for the development of leading enterprises, contributing collectively to the national economic development.
According to Mr. Duong, despite the expectations from the Party and the State, to make significant impacts and promote sustainable business development, it is necessary to build economically leading locomotives. The recent crisis has affected most businesses, so to revive the economy and business community in this context, mechanisms need to be established for leading enterprises to take the lead.
