In particular, the signing of a cooperation agreement with Kasikornbank - Thailand’s second-largest bank - later that same day further translated PVI Insurance’s strategy of expanding connectivity, partnerships and international market development into concrete action.
On October 20, 2026, PVI Insurance Corporation (PVI Insurance) held its business review conference for the third quarter and first nine months of 2026 in Bangkok, Thailand, under the theme “Difference Breaks Limits.”
The conference was attended by the leadership of PVI Joint Stock Company, PVI Insurance’s members’ council and board of management, together with leaders of functional divisions and member units across the entire system.
Notably, the event was honored to welcome Dr. Somporn Suebthawilkul, chairman of the Thai General Insurance Association (TGIA). He expressed the Thai insurance industry’s interest in PVI Insurance, helping open up prospects for stronger connections, experience sharing and new cooperation opportunities between the insurance communities of the two countries.
The presence of a senior representative of Thailand’s insurance industry at the conference marked a significant milestone in PVI Insurance’s regional expansion journey, reflecting the growing depth of engagement and connectivity between a leading Vietnamese insurer and international markets.
The choice of Bangkok - one of Southeast Asia’s major economic and commercial hubs - as the venue for the conference also reflected PVI Insurance’s vision of pursuing a broader development horizon, where financial strength, risk management expertise and brand reputation serve as competitive advantages in accessing international business opportunities.
A strong business foundation for international expansion
At the end of the first nine months of 2026, PVI Insurance recorded total revenue of VND25,183 billion ($974.59 million) , up 16.3% year on year.
Profit before tax reached VND1,401 billion ($54.22 million), an increase of 22.2%, equivalent to 143.7% of the full-year target.
In direct insurance, PVI Insurance continued to hold the No. 1 position in Vietnam’s non-life insurance market, with a market share of 17.4%.
Inward reinsurance continued to make an important contribution, while technical management, cost control and efforts to improve business acquisition efficiency remained key areas of focus.
Alongside its business performance, PVI Insurance continued to accelerate technology transformation, improve underwriting and claims processes, and enhance customer service quality.
These coordinated advances in scale, efficiency and operational capabilities provide a solid foundation for the company to strengthen its competitiveness in international markets.
From international recognition to new partnership opportunities in Asia
In recent years, PVI Insurance has continued to make its mark at prestigious insurance awards across the Asia-Pacific region.
In 2025, PVI Insurance was named among the Top 3 at the Asia Insurance Industry Awards (AIIA). In 2026, the firm once again advanced to the Top 5 finalists in the “General Insurance Company of the Year” category, alongside major insurance brands from across the region.
Notably, PVI Insurance was also honored with four awards at the InsuranceAsia News Country Awards 2026, recognizing its achievements in commercial insurance, digital transformation, claims management and leadership capabilities.
Such international recognition, together with PVI Insurance’s leading position in the Vietnamese market, is creating a strong advantage for the company as it expands its partner network and pursues new cross-border cooperation and business opportunities.
A major highlight of the Bangkok program was the signing of a memorandum of understanding between PVI Insurance and Kasikornbank (KBank) on the afternoon of October 20, 2026.
Kasikornbank (KBank) is one of Thailand’s largest and most influential commercial banks, consistently ranking among the country’s top two banks in terms of total assets, market capitalization and business performance.
KBank is distinguished by its strong financial capabilities, with net profit of approximately $1.5 billion, as well as its pioneering position in digital banking. The bank also has significant strengths in asset management, private banking, mutual funds and credit card services.
With its extensive operations, modern technology platform and diversified development strategy, KBank is regarded as one of the leading financial institutions in Thailand and Southeast Asia.
The agreement opens up opportunities to strengthen customer connectivity, explore financial solutions and develop areas of cooperation aligned with the strengths and needs of both parties.
The partnership between the market leader in Vietnam’s non-life insurance sector and one of Thailand’s largest banks represents a concrete step in PVI Insurance’s strategy to expand its international partnerships, with a view to unlocking cooperation potential across the region’s financial and insurance markets.
Differentiation to break new boundaries
Having exceeded its full-year profit target within the first nine months, PVI Insurance enters the fourth quarter of 2026 from a strong position and with the determination to pursue even higher goals.
At the conference, the leadership and member units focused on reviewing business performance, discussing solutions to enhance management efficiency, optimize resources and proactively capture emerging opportunities.
The 2026 revenue target of VND30 trillion ($1.16 billion) continues to demonstrate PVI Insurance’s determination to sustain growth and prepare for its next stage of development.
Pham Anh Duc, CEO of PVI Insurance, emphasized: "The business results achieved in the first nine months of 2026 not only affirm PVI Insurance’s capabilities and position in the Vietnamese market, but also provide a solid foundation for the Company to pursue even greater ambitions."
"With PVI Insurance’s brand reputation gaining increasing recognition in international markets, we will continue to innovate, enhance our competitiveness, proactively expand partnerships and seek business opportunities in high-potential markets, progressively strengthening the position of a Vietnamese insurer across the Asia-Pacific region," he added.,
