Dr. Vu Tien Loc (1960 – 2024)

Mr. Vu Tien Loc was born in 1960 in Thuy Phong commune, Thai Thuy district, Thai Binh province. He held a Ph.D. in economics, an advanced degree in political theory, and served as a National Assembly delegate with various responsibilities and positions in specialized committees of the National Assembly. He was a current delegate of the XV National Assembly.

Dr. Vu Tien Loc was the Chairman of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry from 2003 to 2021.

Dr. Vu Tien Loc was a National Assembly delegate for terms XI, XII, XIII, XIV, and XV, a member of the Economic and Budget Committee of the XI National Assembly, a member of the Economic Committee of the XII, XIII, XIV, and XV National Assembly, and the Chairman of the Vietnam International Arbitration Center (VIAC).

Mr. Vu Tien Loc held many positions, such as Member of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Vice Chairman of the National Council for Sustainable Development and Competitiveness Enhancement, Vice Chairman of the Prime Minister's Advisory Council on Administrative Procedure Reform, Chairman of the Vietnam Public-Private Partnership Committee, Chairman of the Central Council of Vietnamese Business Associations, and Chairman of the Vietnam Business Forum Alliance (VBF).

Additionally, Mr. Vu Tien Loc also served as Chairman of the Business Council for Sustainable Development, Chairman of the APEC Asia-Pacific Business Advisory Council (ABAC), Chairman of the Pacific Economic Cooperation Council of Vietnam (PECC), member of the leadership of the World Chambers Federation (WCF), Head of the Steering Committee for the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) project, Head of the National Start-up Program Steering Committee, Editor-in-Chief of the Business Forum Newspaper, among others.
