On the morning of August 16, the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee coordinated with the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) to organize a workshop on improving the business environment and enhancing the competitiveness of Dak Lak province in 2024 and the following years. The workshop will be an opportunity for the locality to listen to the opinions of experts and businesses in promoting investment attraction and finding new solutions to improve the PCI index.

Dak Lak provincial leaders visit and grasp the production and business situation of enterprises

According to research, the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) 2023 of Dak Lak Province has risen by 9 positions compared to 2022, reaching 64.46 points (an increase of 3.55 points from 2022). Among the 10 PCI criteria for 2023, 8 out of 10 criteria have seen an increase in scores: Market Entry; Land Access; Transparency; Time Costs; Informal Costs; Fair Competition; Business Support Policies; Labor Training.

Recently, Dak Lak Province has taken many decisive actions to support the business community operating in the area. With specific and closely monitored actions, investors and businesses are showing increased goodwill toward the locality. This has led to a strong linkage between businesses and local authorities, providing reassurance to investors.

Nguyen Tuan Ha, Permanent Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee, affirmed that Dak Lak will focus on implementing key solutions and tasks to "breakthrough" in attracting investment, contributing to the achievement of economic and social development goals. Specifically, the locality will promptly address investors' difficulties and obstacles, review and reform administrative procedures to eliminate cumbersome, complex, and difficult processes, thereby reducing informal costs and time costs.

Dak Lak has been constantly improving its investment environment with many preferential policies and favorable administrative procedures.

“Especially building a team of cadres, civil servants and public employees with a high sense of responsibility, promptly resolving the legitimate requests of businesses and investors”, Mr. Tuan Ha emphasized.

According to Mr. Vo Ngoc Tuyen - Director of Dak Lak Department of Planning and Investment, the locality always focuses on enhancing the dynamism and pioneering role of the leader in leading and directing support work, accompanying investors and businesses. To make investors feel secure in their operations, the locality has been constantly improving the investment environment with many preferential policies, favorable administrative procedures to create the best and simplest favorable conditions.

“With the view that investors coming to Dak Lak are citizens of Dak Lak, the success of investors is the success of Dak Lak, the province always creates the most favorable conditions for investors and businesses to come to learn and invest in business. “Success in attracting investment will open up opportunities for Dak Lak to gradually improve its image in the eyes of domestic and international investors and friends,” Mr. Vo Ngoc Tuyen emphasized.
