Speaking at the 2025 Outstanding Enterprise for Employees Award Ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh - Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly emphasized: for businesses, employees are the most valuable asset, the human capital that creates strength and core values. Caring for, protecting and ensuring the welfare of employees is also to create an internal strength foundation. Therefore, taking care of employees is not only a legal responsibility but also a social responsibility, a business ethics culture, a sustainable development philosophy, and a vital part of the business.

According to Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh, since its inception, the Party and State have paid special attention to the cause of building and developing human resources, always identifying the people as the subject and center of all decisions. The policies and guidelines are all aimed at ensuring the legitimate rights and interests and improving the lives of the people, in which the working class and laborers play a core role.

In addition, in the process of building and formulating policies, the National Assembly always puts workers and enterprises in the center. In addition to the important laws that have been promulgated and amended, the National Assembly also closely monitors the implementation of policies on wages and occupational safety insurance, regularly listens to the opinions of voters, businesses, unions and workers to promptly adjust, ensuring practicality, suitability and practical requirements.

Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh also affirmed that caring for, protecting and ensuring the welfare of workers is also creating a foundation of internal strength, social responsibility, culture and business ethics of enterprises.

The Party, the State and the National Assembly always support and encourage pioneering enterprises to link production and business with improving the lives of workers, and encourage the establishment of collective bargaining dialogue mechanisms. At the same time, promote the role of unions in coordinating with enterprises to implement welfare policies, vocational training, and skills improvement towards the goal of sustainable development of workers, businesses and the country.

Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh mentioned the revolution in organizational structure, administrative boundary arrangement and the “four strategic pillars” recently issued by the Politburo. In which, innovation, science and technology and digital transformation are identified as the keys to open the door to rapid and sustainable development. In order for enterprises and employees to enjoy the fruits of development, it is necessary to attach importance to the requirement of building and maintaining harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations.

In the new context and requirements, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh suggested that the business community continue to replicate practical care models for workers, constantly improve the quality of human resources, take the lead in promoting digital transformation, innovation, linking production and business with green economic development, circular economy, fully implementing social responsibility and transparent governance.

For trade union organizations, it is necessary to actively innovate more in the content and methods of operation, especially focusing on performing well the function of representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers, in line with the context of implementing the Party's policy on streamlining the apparatus, improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the political system.

The Outstanding Enterprise for Workers Award, organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in coordination with the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, has entered its 11th year. According to Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang - Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the criteria of the award are constantly updated and improved, becoming a measure for enterprises to self-examine, self-correct, self-improve to meet the standards in caring for the interests of employees.

In 2025, the Politburo issued 4 important Resolutions and the spirit of these Resolutions, especially Resolution 57 and Resolution 68, has been specified in the Regulations for the "Enterprise for Workers" award. Accordingly, priority is given to selecting enterprises that focus on innovation, private enterprises, foreign-invested enterprises, and joint stock enterprises with less than 50% state capital. Among the 28 honored enterprises, there are 22 enterprises in the non-state sector, enterprises with a large number of workers.
