“The VCCI has had representatives from its leadership participating in the National Assembly for five consecutive terms (from 2001 to the present). However, I personally am being introduced as a candidate for the National Assembly for the first time, and at the same time I am currently serving as President of VCCI. I am deeply aware that this is both an honor and a great responsibility before the Party, the State, the business community, and the people,” President Hồ Sỹ Hùng shared.
He also stated that if entrusted by voters, he commits to implementing his action program with several main tasks as follows:
First, to continuously cultivate and train himself, uphold the moral qualities of a representative of the people, and remain absolutely loyal to the Fatherland, the people, and the Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; to regularly study, improve his qualifications, strengthen willpower and political steadfastness to successfully fulfill the duties of an elected representative; to maintain a clean, simple lifestyle and set an example in both work and daily life while encouraging family members and citizens to do the same; and to resolutely fight against corruption, wastefulness, bureaucracy, and other negative practices.
