Among Ms. Thao's certificates, there is one training certificate printed according to the form in Circular No. 26/2020/TT-BYT. Is it counted as the number of hours according to regulations, or must it follow the form of Circular No. 32/2023/TT-BYT?
Regarding this issue, the Ministry of Health responded as follows:
The content of knowledge that needs to be learned to renew certificates and practice licenses is specifically regulated in Article 4 of Circular No. 32/2023/TT-BYT dated December 31, 2023 of the Minister of Health detailing a number of articles of the Law on Medical Examination and Treatment: Continuously updating medical knowledge by participating in short-term training courses, conferences, and seminars on medicine appropriate to the scope of practice; Practitioners shall, based on the scope of practice (specified in the Appendix of Circular No. 32/2023/TT-BYT), participate in forms of continuous medical knowledge updating appropriate to the scope of practice.
The forms of certificates of continuous medical knowledge updating are specifically prescribed in the Appendices issued with Circular No. 32/2023/TT-BYT.
The conversion to credit hours of forms of continuous medical knowledge updating is prescribed in Clause 1, Article 8 of Circular No. 32/2023/TT-BYT and is implemented according to Appendix No. I issued with this Circular.
