Ms. Le Phuong Anh (Thai Nguyen) asked how to correctly understand the intermediate insurance amounts.

Regarding this issue, the Insurance Supervisory Authority, Ministry of Finance, replied as follows:

At Point a, Point b, Paragraph 1, Article 37 of Decree No. 67/2023/NĐ-CP dated September 6, 2023, of the Government on compulsory civil liability insurance for motor vehicle owners, mandatory fire and explosion insurance, and compulsory insurance in construction investment activities stipulates:

"Article 37. Insurance premiums and deductible levels

Insurance premiums and deductible levels for compulsory construction insurance during the construction period are specifically regulated as follows: a) For construction projects valued at less than 1,000 billion VND, excluding installation work or including installation work but with implementation costs of the installation work less than 50% of the total project value insured: Insurance premiums and deductible levels are specified in Item 1, Section I, Appendix III issued with this Decree. b) For construction projects valued at less than 1,000 billion VND, including installation work and with implementation costs of the installation work accounting for 50% or more of the total project value insured: Insurance premiums and deductible levels are specified in Item 1, Section II, Appendix III issued with this Decree."

At Point b, Section 1, Section I, Appendix III issued with Decree 67/2023/NĐ-CP stipulates:

"b) Deductible levels:

Deductible levels for construction insurance during the construction period apply according to the following table or 5% of the loss value, whichever is higher:
