(Chinhphu.vn) – The Amada Seafood Company (in Ho Chi Minh City) imports fresh shrimp from Canada, USA for sale in Vietnam market. The company has an import license, the shipments are quarantined by the Regional Veterinary Agency 6. Everyday, the company evacuates about 2m3 of seawater during storage and 1m3 of domestic water for cleaning.

Through the receiving and responding system, to recommendations of businesses, the Amada Seafood Co., Ltd. would like to request for answers, does the company have to make plans or projects to protect the environment?

Regarding this issue, The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment has the following opinions:

The content does not specify information about projects or business establishments (projects) including: name of project, scope, scale, capacity, location, production and business activities ( if any), whether the project items or projects have been put into operation or not, measures to protect the environment of the project. Therefore, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment does not have enough information to answer. However, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment provides general guidance as follows:

In case the project is subject to production, business, service objects that has not been put into operation, it is recommended that the Company compare it with the provisions in Article 18 of the Decree No. 18/2015 / ND-CP dated February 14, 2015 of Government regulations on environmental protection planning, strategic environmental assessment, environmental impact assessment and environmental protection plan in order to register environmental protection plans and send them to competent authorities to confirm according to Article 19 of the Decree No. 18/2015 / ND-CP.
