(Chinhphu.vn) - Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh (Hanoi) is a preventive medicine doctor, without a practice license, graduated with a master's degree in nutrition, and has a 6-month clinical nutrition certificate.

Ms. Ngoc Anh asked, can she apply for a clinical nutrition practice license, or must she apply for a preventive medicine practice license?

Regarding this issue, the Ministry of Health responded as follows:

In the case of her master's degree in nutrition, if it meets the requirements of "Master's degree in the field of medical examination and treatment" as prescribed in Point d, Clause 1, Article 127 of Decree No. 96/2023/ND-CP dated December 30, 2023 of the Government, it is eligible to be granted or have its scope of clinical nutrition practice adjusted.

To determine whether her master's degree in nutrition is a "Master's degree in the field of medical examination and treatment", she needs to send her degree to the competent authority that issues the operating license for determination.
