Resolution No. 79-NQ/TW dated January 6, 2026, issued by the Politburo on the development of the state economy, stipulates that the state economy must take the lead in fostering development, providing strategic direction, opening up new avenues, promoting industrialization and modernization, restructuring the economy, and establishing a new growth model, with science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation serving as the primary drivers, thereby enhancing national competitiveness. The Resolution also sets the target that, by 2030, 100% of state-owned economic groups and general corporations will apply OECD corporate governance principles.
Pursuant to the Government’s directive assigning the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), in coordination with relevant agencies, to implement the “Vietnamese CEOs in the New Era” business leadership development program, VCCI, in collaboration with PwC Vietnam, has designed a program to support state-owned enterprises (SOEs) in updating their corporate governance frameworks in accordance with the OECD Guidelines on Corporate Governance of State-Owned Enterprises 2024 (OECD SOE Guidelines 2024):
PRACTICAL APPLICATION OF CORPORATE GOVERNANCE IN
STATE-OWNED ENTERPRISES IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE OECD SOE GUIDELINES 2024
- Duration: 1.5 days.
