The 2026 program aims to honor and award the title of "Exemplary Vietnamese Entrepreneur – Thanh Giong Cup." Under the scheme, 100 entrepreneurs will be honored with this title, with additional recognitions planned for those excelling in areas such as innovation, digital transformation, and international integration. The selection council comprises over 40 members representing government ministries, agencies, industry experts, and the press. The award ceremony is scheduled to coincide with Vietnamese Entrepreneurs' Day (October 13) and will be attended by Party and State leaders. The event seeks to recognize and commend business leaders for their outstanding achievements over the past five years (2021–2025)—and throughout their careers—in production, business operations, innovation, and corporate social responsibility, as well as for their active contributions to the nation's socio-economic development and the strengthening of the Vietnamese business community.
The selection process is conducted in a transparent, objective, fair, accurate, and timely manner, based on the voluntary participation of entrepreneurs and businesses, and in strict compliance with relevant laws and the regulations governing the "Exemplary Vietnamese Entrepreneur – Thanh Giong Cup" award. At the same time, the regulations stipulate that entrepreneurs must not engage in any form of campaigning or publicity seeking regarding their specific applications or personal backgrounds. This provision also outlines the revocation of the title should an entrepreneur violate the law or the Code of Conduct in a manner that negatively impacts the image of the nation's exemplary entrepreneurs. Commensurate with the rigorous, meticulous, and challenging nature of achieving this recognition, entrepreneurs enjoy significant rights and benefits: they are accorded seats of honor and receive respectful introductions at business community events organized by VCCI. They also receive VCCI support in expanding domestic and international business networks and in participating in executive leadership training and development programs, as well as trade and investment promotion activities organized by VCCI. Furthermore, during this year's selection cycle, the Selection Council will review the shortlist of finalists to select and propose additional awards alongside the list of the "100 Exemplary Entrepreneurs of 2026."
