Pham made the above statement in his meeting with Axel Van Trotsenburg, Managing Director of Operations at the World Bank on the sidelines of the COP26 in Glasgow, Scotland.
The international institution has made active contributions to socio-economic development in Viet Nam, especially it provided the country with US$6.2 million in non-refundable aid, Pham emphasized.
In pursuance of sustainable development and green growth, Pham said the Government has adopted a green growth strategy for the 2021-2030, vision to 2050, which lays focus on restructuring the economy towards environmentally sustainability, social equality, and carbon neutrality.
Trotsenburg pledged that the World Bank will continue assistance for Viet Nam in formulating macro-economic policies and accessing sustainable financial resources to help the Southeast Asia achieve green, sustainable and inclusive growth.
Both sides agreed to step up bilateral cooperation in renewing their partnership with a new Country Partnership Framework for the 2022-2025 period./.
