The project is located in Hoa Vang commune, according to the Danang High-Tech Park and Industrial Zones Authority (DSEZA). It is bordered to the north by existing residential areas in Hoa Phu village and Ho Cau Lake, to the south by the Tuy Loan riverside road, to the east by the Western Ring Road, and to the west by the hilly area of Phu Tuc village. The site has yet to undergo land clearance.
The project is designed to develop and operate infrastructure for the functional area, including management and administrative facilities.
Danang’s Free Trade Zone (FTZ) spans approximately 1,881 hectares across seven non-contiguous sites. It is planned to accommodate manufacturing, logistics, trade and services, digital technology, information technology and innovation activities, as well as other permitted functional areas.
In June 2026, the Danang People’s Committee granted in-principle investment and investor approvals for three infrastructure development projects at Sites No. 2, 3 and 4.
At Site No. 2 in Hai Van ward, Saigon-Danang Investment Corporation was approved as the investor of a 75-hectare project with total investment of nearly VND1.57 trillion ($60.02 million).
At Site No. 3, also in Hai Van ward, Phuong Trang Investment Corporation received approval to develop a 500-hectare project with total investment of about VND8.12 trillion ($310.8 million).
Thanh Binh Phu My JSC is the investor of the FTZ Phu My 3 Danang Industrial Park project at Site No. 4 in Ba Na commune. The project covers 335 hectares and has total investment of nearly VND5.34 trillion ($204.34 million).
Earlier, Ba Na Service Cable Car JSC, a member of Vietnamese conglomerate Sun Group, began developing Site No. 5. The site covers around 90 hectares and has estimated investment of more than VND808 billion ($30.93 million).
Meanwhile, KITA Trung Nam FTZ Co. Ltd. has proposed developing and operating the infrastructure of the functional area at Site No. 6.
VSIP expands Danang presence
VSIP’s latest proposal comes shortly after the company was approved by the Danang People’s Committee as the investor of the VSIP Danang Industrial Park project in Dien Ban Bac ward. The IP covers more than 249 hectares and has total investment of VND3.73 trillion ($142.78 million).
Preparatory investment procedures are scheduled to run from the third quarter of 2026 through the third quarter of 2027. Compensation, land clearance and land handover are expected to take place from the fourth quarter of 2026 through the second quarter of 2028.
Construction and commissioning are scheduled from the third quarter of 2027 through the fourth quarter of 2031, while marketing and efforts to attract tenants are expected to begin in the third quarter of 2028.
Danang on Tuesday broke ground on two major infrastructure projects with combined investment of more than VND4.29 trillion ($164.21 million). They include the Hoa Xuan interchange cluster (Le Thanh Nghi-Cach Mang Thang Tam-Thang Long-Hoa Xuan Bridge approach road) and the integrated resilient development project in the former Quang Nam province (now part of Danang following their merger last year).
The Hoa Xuan interchange cluster, located in Hoa Cuong and Hoa Xuan wards, has total investment of more than VND1.57 trillion ($60 million). The special-grade urban transport project will feature grade-separated intersections, underpasses, overpasses and supporting technical infrastructure. Construction is scheduled for 2025-2029, with an estimated construction period of about 730 days.
The integrated resilient development project has total investment of nearly VND2.72 trillion ($104.11 million) and will be implemented across eight communes and wards in Danang. It includes about VND1.84 trillion in the World Bank’s official development assistance (ODA) loans and VND884.1 billion in reciprocal funding.
A major component involves dredging about 60 kilometers of the Truong Giang River, building embankments at vulnerable locations and upgrading the river navigation signaling system. The project will also construct a 2.38-kilometer A3 drainage canal linking Song Dam Lake with the Truong Giang River to improve flood drainage and reduce inundation risks in Tam Ky.
