The immersive sensorial experience is further enhanced through an integrated audio-visual experience capturing the unique ambience of Volvo Cars.

The space continues its call for sustainability through the intelligent integration of three-dimensional technology, complimented by performing arts to capture all the senses. Volvo Cars elaborated that the space was designed to embody the Freedom to Move, in a sustainable, safe, and personal way.

Notable attendees to SECC 2022 for the Volvo Cars reveal include David Linen, Swedish Commercial Counselor to Vietnam along with Nick Connor, head of Volvo Cars APEC.

The new cars launched at the company are the XC90 Recharge (plug-in hybrid), XC60 Recharge (plug-in hybrid), XC90 (mild-hybrid), XC60 (mild-hybrid), XC40 (mild-hybrid), S90 (mild-hybrid), and V60 Cross Country (mild-hybrid).

Since the founding of Volvo Cars' in 1927, it has put people and their safety at the centre of everything it does. For over 100 years, Volvo Cars has stood by these values, and guided by this, has envisioned a future where nobody should be seriously injured or killed in a new Volvo car.

In 2021, Volvo Cars accepted its biggest safety challenge yet, the safety of the planet. To this end, Volvo Cars has committed to becoming a climate-neutral company by 2040, and fully electric globally by 2030. Achieving climate neutrality means so much more than reducing tailpipe emissions, it means complete carbon neutrality throughout the supply and value chain.

“First we have to acknowledge that yes we are part of the problem. But we can also now say that we are part of the solution,” Nick Connor, head of Volvo Cars APEC region said.

Connor further elaborated, “Our Tolanda plant was the first of our global manufacturing facilities to be switched over to climate-neutral energy, followed by our Taizhou Plant in China. We are now gearing up for long-term sustainable growth with the construction of our new electric car manufacturing plant in Slovakia. The new state-of-the-art plant will be climate neutral and only build electric cars, underpinning our ambition to become fully electric by 2030 and climate neutral by 2040.”

All Volvo models in Vietnam are equipped with the flagship expression of Scandinavian design, the Ultimate pack.

The interiors gracefully fuse sophisticated minimalism with luxurious comfort, bringing together high-quality, premium leathers with matte willow or mesh sculptured alloy accents and panels. Volvo has also curated some of the most timeless Scandinavian colour pallets to match customers’ styles.

Meanwhile, the Dynamic Hybrid Plug-in is the complete solution for the moment, allowing users to run entirely on electricity or in a hybrid manner using both fuel engines and batteries. The most modern version is equipped with an engine with a total capacity of 462 horsepower giving an independent electric range of up to 81km.

Mild-hybrid technology uses a 48-volt battery pack in the rear trunk to supplement the turbocharged 2.0 engine, integrates supercharged technology for a capacity of 300 horsepower, saves fuel thanks to the system of regenerative energy from the brakes, and reduces emissions to the environment.

Intelligent improvements from the engine provide optimal performance, allowing the car to operate over a wide range while saving fuel and accelerating as expected when the driver presses the gas. The mild-hybrid engine for smooth acceleration is designed with the most optimal methods and is suitable for all driving styles.
