The six services are VNPAY Cloud, VNPAY Payment Gateway, VNPAY SmartPOS, VNPAY SoftPOS, VCB Tap to Phone, and the token service provider solution VNTAP.

To attain this certification, VNPAY’s services complied with 12 requirements and six core principles, including building and maintaining a secure network and systems, protecting cardholder data, and maintaining a vulnerability management programme, among others.

Compliance with the PCI DSS standard is mandatory for all businesses that store, process, or transmit payment card data. The standard, managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, is established by five international payment organisations: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and JCB.

Level 1 represents the highest level of security for payment card data of service providers.

PCI DSS 4.0 imposes stringent requirements for information security risk assessment, with a focus on protecting cardholder data. This includes continuous improvements to protect data across the entire network.

In addition, based on technology trends and recent hacker attack methods, the standard includes requirements related to multi-factor authentication, anti-phishing, and social engineering, as well as expanded requirements for cloud computing technology and services.

VCB Tap to Phone is a tap to pay solution on smartphones, transforming any NFC-enabled Android smartphones into Visa’s contactless POS devices or enabling payments on other smartphones integrated with cards with just a few steps. With VCB Tap to Phone, businesses can process transactions by tapping into smartphones rather than using traditional POS devices. The service offers convenience and flexibility in payment while reducing investment costs for businesses.

VNTAP is a modern card payment technology that is integrated into the VNPAY e-wallet. Card information is encoded into tokens on the application, turning Android phones into cards with touch payment technology, allowing customers to pay anytime, anywhere at POS machines (with NFC) without a physical card.

The VNPAY Payment Gateway is an intermediary gateway connecting businesses with banks. Customers can use account and payment features built into 40 mobile banking applications, or linked 15 e-wallets to pay for transactions. There are over 400,000 VNPAY-QR payment acceptance points with strong encryption algorithms.
