Viglacera is the investor of 15 industrial parks nationwide

Could you please tell us why Viglacera chose Van Phong Economic Zone (EZ) to locate the project?

According to Decision 234/QD-TTg on ratification of Doc Da Trang Industrial Park Infrastructure Investment and Operation Project in Khanh Hoa province, the industrial park covers a total land area of 288 ha and costs an estimated VND1,807.474 billion for construction. The project is located in Van Hung commune, Van Ninh district and Ninh Tho commune, Ninh Hoa town, Khanh Hoa province.

At present, Viglacera is the investor of 15 industrial parks nationwide. There are three reasons for us to choose Van Phong Economic Zone as an investment destination. Specifically, Van Phong Port is the largest international transit port in Vietnam, playing a driving role in developing Van Phong Bay into a general economic zone which consists of international transit ports, industries, tourism, services and aquaculture, among other things. International transit terminals play a key role together with seaport and trade services. Next, Van Phong Economic Zone has a favorable geographical and economic position as it lies on important national traffic railway, road, waterway and air routes, lies near international maritime routes with major seaports. It is one of the gateways to the sea for the South Central and Central Highlands regions.

In particular, since the industrial park lies inside the economic zone, its tenants will enjoy many preferential policies.

With those “golden” advantages, how do you feel about the investment environment in Van Phong Economic Zone as well as in Khanh Hoa province at present?

Before setting foot in Van Phong Economic Zone, Viglacera conducted survey and evaluation trips. Its leadership itself felt that the people and the living environment as well as the investment environment in Khanh Hoa are extremely ideal. In particular, provincial leaders always upheld the spirit of companionship and sharing with enterprises in all difficulties, while investment procedures were gradually improved in an open and transparent manner.

Regarding Doc Da Trang IP, to facilitate the project implementation according to the schedule committed to the Prime Minister, the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee, to attract domestic and foreign investors and to contribute to local socioeconomic development, we would like to propose some recommendations. In particular, we expect Khanh Hoa province to soon attract investors for North Van Phong Seaport, and actively speed up the investment progress of Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Road.

In particular, local authorities at all levels will actively support the investor in administrative procedures when it carries out the project, specifically in land compensation for site clearance, land allocation and land lease. At the same time, Viglacera hopes that the infrastructure inside and outside Doc Da Trang IP will be invested synchronously to ensure the best conditions for secondary investors when they come to seek locations for their projects.

What are your and Viglacera's expectations for Doc Da Trang IP in creating economic competitive advantages for the province?

Viglacera is aware that, when completed, Doc Da Trang IP will be an ideal destination for secondary investors and create strong development for the whole region. Moreover, with the responsibility of the investor that has accompanied many localities in IP construction, Viglacera will implement the project on schedule, safely, with expected quality and efficiency, and contribute to the industrialization and modernization of Khanh Hoa province and the South Central region.

When the project comes into operation, it is expected to provide jobs for tens of thousands of workers in the province and neighboring areas; increase budget revenue through land rent and related taxes; and help concretize economic restructuring directions by raising the share of service, tourism and industrial sectors and reducing the share of agriculture.

Notably, based on the strength of a leading manufacturer of construction materials in the country, the use of materials made by Viglacera is an important factor to reduce construction costs in the project. Following that achievement, Viglacera will elevate its IP positions as pioneers in developing green and smart IPs to attract green industrial projects.
