The project will integrate modern automation technologies and digital data operations per green and sustainable standards.
Covering 8.6 hectares at the Lien Chieu Industrial Park, the center will include three warehouse blocks with a combined floor area of nearly 40,000 square meters.
The blocks are a distribution warehouse for consumer goods and chilled/frozen products; a fulfillment warehouse (handling and managing e-commerce orders from inbound to delivery); and an automated sorting center equipped with a crossbelt sorter line capable of processing 9,000 parcels per hour and integrated with autonomous guided vehicles (AGVs) to optimize goods flow and operational efficiency.
Its smart management system will connect warehouse, order, and transportation data in real time, enabling route optimization, load balancing, and operational monitoring. Once operational, the center is expected to reduce processing time by 33%, save approximately 348,000 kilometers of transport per month, and cut fuel costs and emissions toward a green and efficient logistics model.
The center is designed to serve as a strategic hub connecting the production, retail and e-commerce ecosystem across the central and Central Highlands regions, shortening time-to-market, improving delivery accuracy, enhancing business competitiveness, and promoting sustainable e-commerce.
At the groundbreaking ceremony last Wednesday, Phung Van Cuong, general director of Viettel Post, emphasized: “The Danang Logistics Center is developed on a foundation of modern technology, where data is the language and speed is the core value. The project will connect manufacturers, retailers, and e-commerce platforms to enhance supply chain efficiency, optimize operating costs, and reduce emissions.
The first phase of the project is expected to be completed in 2026.
