The Ambassador of the Republic of Korea (RoK) to Vietnam, Park Noh-wan, showed his appreciation for Vietnam’s strategy on COVID-19 prevention and control and its support for foreign citizens, while meeting on March 15 with Prof. Dr. Vice Minister of Health Nguyen Thanh Long.

Those in attendance also included Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Bui The Duy, Dr. Kidong Park, Chief Representative of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Vietnam alongside leaders from the Ministry of Health’s departments and units.
At the meeting, the attendees shared experience in combating the COVID-19 outbreak and compared notes on issues of mutual concern.
The Korean Ambassador applauded Vietnam's efforts in the fight against the COVID-19 epidemic and its support for the Korean citizens living and working in the country.

thanked the RoK Government for providing US$500,000 in support of Vietnam in combating the epidemic, and asked the Korean side to share lessons regarding the test of a large number of patient samples at the same time.
He also suggested the RoK provide Vietnam with sets of quick test kit and other medical equipment to help the country shorten testing time and promptly respond to the epidemic in the context of swiftly spreading outbreak with many infected cases.
