The office's role is to project Vietnam's popular destinations, cultural traits, and heritage more widely in South Korea.
It will also strengthen tourism ties between Vietnam and South Korea by facilitating business networking, fostering cooperation and nurturing a deeper cultural understanding.
The office will also provide practical support for Vietnamese tourism enterprises looking to expand in South Korea, helping to drive more dynamic and sustained growth in bilateral tourism.
The tourism office opened on July 16, followed by a B2B meeting with 65 Korean travel agencies and 13 media outlets, as well as Vietnamese localities and tourism companies.
Vietnam remains a popular destination for South Korean tourists, who are captivated by its natural beauty, cultural richness and affordable prices.
From January to June 2025, nearly 10.7 million international tourists arrived in Vietnam, up 17% year on year. South Korea was one of the two largest source markets, with around 2.2 million travelers visiting the Southeast Asian country.
