With famous tourism destinations like Nha Trang, Ha Long and Phu Quoc easing Covid-19 restrictions and resuming tourism activities, these are six recommendations for a luxury cruise vacation. 

The five-star Indochine Cruise takes visitors to explore the natural beauty of Ha Long Bay in the northern Quang Ninh Province and Lan Ha Bay in Hai Phong City, just south of Ha Long. 

Visitors can admire the world-famous bay with its thousands of limestone karsts rising from emerald waters, kayak to explore natural caves, enjoy a five-star dinner at sea, or witness squid fishing at night.

The cruise resumed, welcoming fully vaccinated tourists, in October.

Heritage Cruises Binh Chuan Cat Ba has an Indochinese-style vessel inspired by Binh Chuan, a ship owned by Bach Thai Buoi, a famous businessman known as the ‘king of cruise ships’ in the 20th century. 

75 meters long and 13 meters wide, the vessel is divided into three floors and 20 suites. All cabins have a private balcony and allow tourists to lie on the bed, directly look down at the bay. It has two restaurants and indoor and outdoor lounges.

Paradise Cruise is one of the most well-known cruise operators in Ha Long Bay and Lan Ha Bay and has been acclaimed by international travel magazines. 

Quang Ninh authorities plan to open Tuan Chau International Tourist Area and Yen Tu tourist site next month to domestic tourists.

The province hopes to receive two million visitors in the fourth quarter.

The cruise will take visitors to Sung Sot cave, kayaking to a pearl farm, to the top of Titop island, Viet Hai fishing village, and Lan Ha Bay to watch the sunset.

Ambassador is a six-star vessel in Ha Long Bay. The 13-meter-tall vessel, which is painted white, has 46 cabins of ​​30-90 square meters, each with a sunbathing balcony.

There are three cruise options, including one night’s stay in a hotel. Prices start at VND3.49 million ($153.30), and include a seafood party. 

Emperor Cruises in Nha Trang Bay in the south-central province of Khanh Hoa was inspired by luxury lifestyle of King Bao Dai, the last ruler of the Nguyen Dynasty, Vietnam’s last ruling royal family. Its design is redolent of the 1930s. 

Khanh Hoa authorities have reopened intra-provincial tourism, allowing tourist facilities and restaurants to serve visitors from within the province.

It offers a tour of Nha Trang Bay and a cocktail party to watch the sunset over one of the world’s most beautiful bays. Visitors can also explore wildlife, scuba dive, swim, and row coracles and kayaks. 

A tour costs around VND1.2 million. 

Catamaran Sarita Phu Quoc is the first sail catamaran in Phu Quoc Island, and has a French-influenced design. 

It has four cabins, a lounge area and a galley, and is suitable for a trip with family or friends.

Phu Quoc resumed tourism activities in early October and plans to welcome fully vaccinated foreign tourists under a trial vaccine passport program from next month. 

The cruise takes visitors to the southern island of Phu Quoc and serves a seafood lunch. Visitors can also swim, kayak, dive to see coral reefs, and visit Dam Islet.
