According to the decision establishing the task force, the team will be responsible for reviewing current customs procedures for import, export, transit, and transshipment of goods and vehicles at border and non-border customs offices. This includes the inspection and supervision of these activities.

The task force will also develop new customs procedures for these activities, based on a centralized clearance model at regional customs branches.

Furthermore, the team will define the roles, responsibilities, and coordination mechanisms for various units, including clearance teams and border/non-border customs officials. This will cover the period from the issuance of a new organizational model to the implementation of the centralized clearance model, ensuring smooth customs operations.

The task force will operate centrally at the General Department of Vietnam Customs headquarters until its mission is completed.
