Cook arrived in Hanoi on April 15, starting a two-day visit to Vietnam.
The prime minister thanked Apple for its business expansion in Vietnam, creating jobs for more than 20,000 people. He also briefed Cook on the outstanding achievements made by Vietnam over more than 40 years of the doi moi process and the country's development strategies.
The prime minister further noted that the government would set up a working group to facilitate Apple's development effectively in Vietnam.
In response, Cook said that he had enjoyed a wonderful working trip to Vietnam, with a warm welcome from local people, and had witnessed the strong development of the innovation community in Vietnam.
