Flight numbers surged during Vietnam’s two major national holidays in late April and early September.
During the 50th anniversary of the Southern Liberation and National Reunification, about 10.5 million people traveled nationwide between April 29 and May 4. Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City served nearly 710,000 passengers during this five-day holiday.

The CAAV said it will continue to support airlines in the remaining three months of 2025 by improving fleet efficiency and increasing seat capacity to meet year-end and Lunar New Year 2026 travel demand.
The agency will also ensure the fair allocation of takeoff and landing slots, expand international cooperation and strengthen market forecasting to provide sound policy advice for the sustainable development of the aviation sector.
