Viet Nam has a dense river network containing 2,360 rivers with a total length of more than 10 kilometers (6.2 miles).

In recent years, luxury river cruise tours passing famed attractions and ancient temples have become a not-to-be-missed experience while visiting Viet Nam.

One of the best ways to get introduced to Vietnam is to take a Mekong River cruise from Ho Chi Minh City to Ha Noi, or vice-versa.

During this trip, you can immerse yourself in the culture and history of the region while seeing unforgettable sights in Viet Nam's two major cities. The life of local residents and the cultural traditions of this part of Asia can be more easily appreciated when you take a river cruise holiday, according to Affordable Tours.

Earlier, Viet Nam was named as Asia's Leading Destination 2021 and Asia's Leading Sustainable Tourism Destination 2021 at the World Travel Award.

Phu Quoc, Quang Nam, Khanh Hoa, Da Nang and Quang Ninh have also been approved by the Government to open to international visitors in phase 1, in November.

According to the pilot plan to welcome international guests, during their stay, visitors will be tested for nCoV on the first and last days. If the results are negative, they will continue to visit and entertain according to the schedule.

Viet Nam will resume regular international passenger flights to selected countries from January 1, 2021 with a "high safety factor".

These countries include China, Japan, the RoK, Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore, Laos, Cambodia and the US, according to a notice on the civil aviation authority website.
