A 20-feet cargo container imported from China contained many counterfeit goods of brands, including Vietnamese-Japanese locks, BOSCH drill bits, Avatar chisels, was seized by Unit 1, Anti-smuggling and Investigation Department, General Department of Vietnam Customs in coordination with Hai Phong port area 2 Customs Branch.
A representative of the Anti-Smuggling and Investigation Department said that the Institute of Intellectual Property Science (Ministry of Science and Technology) has just issued a conclusion on the assessment of door locks, chisels and drill bits in the shipment detected by Unit 1 in cooperation with Hai Phong port area 2 Customs Branch. Those goods included counterfeit Vietnamese-Japanese brands, BOSCH drill bits, Avatar chisels. Those brands are trademarks that have been protected in Vietnam in accordance with regulations of the Law on Intellectual Property.
