The Crown Prince of Denmark participated in the opening ceremony as the guest of honour while on his visit to Vietnam to mark the 50th anniversary of Denmark-Vietnam diplomatic relations and to promote green energy solutions.
Aligning with Denmark’s commitment to strengthening the economic and cultural ties between the two countries, Vestas’ new office inauguration in Ho Chi Minh City demonstrated the company’s dedication to meeting Vietnam’s growing demand for green energy solutions.
Country manager for Vestas Vietnam Mads Clausen said, “Vietnam is a high-potential market and a strategic partner for Denmark in the transition to a greener and more sustainable future. This event marks a new significant milestone on Vestas’ sustainability pathway and the growth of the green energy ecosystem in Vietnam. Furthermore, this space is crucial as Vestas focuses on developing the next generation of local talent to support its current growth and future ambitions in the country.”
Wind power has the potential to aid Vietnam's development, helping the country to fulfil its commitment to net-zero emissions by 2050 made at the COP26 Global Climate Change Summit. With timely support and favourable policies from the government, Vietnam has quickly become one of the leading countries in the region concerning renewable energy with even greater potential waiting to be unlocked.
Vestas is the energy industry’s global partner in sustainable energy solutions. The company designs, manufactures, installs, and services onshore and offshore wind turbines across the globe, and with more than 157GW of wind turbines in 88 countries, Vestas has installed more wind power than anyone else.
