Over the nine-day Tet holiday (from January 25th, 2025 to February 2nd, 2025), the Binh Duong Customs Department processed import and export customs clearance for 35 businesses, with a total of 412 declarations, reaching a total import-export value of over US$10.5 million.
The main import and export goods during this period included: EVA foam sheets, various chemicals, wooden furniture, rubber tires, porcelain teeth, plastic anti-grinding mouthguards, and fiberglass epoxy plastic sheets.
To achieve this result, the customs force will continue to strengthen modern management solutions and digital transformation.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Deputy Director of the Binh Duong Customs Department, said that in 2025, the Binh Duong Customs Department aims to collect VND18,200 billion in budget revenue. However, with the economic situation forecasted to remain challenging in the near future, the Binh Duong Customs Department will continue to implement various solutions to adapt to the province's "breakthrough" pace of double-digit growth in order to successfully achieve the set target. These innovation efforts will focus on optimizing processes, improving information technology infrastructure, and ensuring fast and accurate document processing procedures.
In addition, the Binh Duong Customs Department is also investing in research and implementing many modern solutions in digital transformation. The application of high technology will enhance the ability to monitor, process information related to import and export activities quickly and transparently. The digital transformation model will focus on building an automated customs system, minimizing manual intervention and meeting the development trend of the digital economy.
Along with efforts in developing infrastructure and digital transformation, the Binh Duong Customs Department will continue to maintain support solutions to facilitate import and export activities of businesses in the area, simplify administrative procedures, and create favorable trade conditions for import and export activities of the business community.
In particular, the department will proactively communicate with new investors to coordinate and guide businesses in carrying out import and export procedures. This is an important step to strengthen trust and attract more businesses to participate in import and export activities in the region.
In addition, the unit also strengthens inspection and control to combat fraud, counterfeiting of origin, illegal transshipment of goods, infringement of intellectual property rights, and promotes achievements in combating smuggling and trade fraud, contributing to increasing budget revenue.
