With the capital enduring the coldest period of the year, local residents who must work late and into the early morning when temperatures fall to their lowest, do not let the chilly conditions stop them from earning a living.

Over the past few days the weather in Hanoi has become quite cold, especially at midnight, with temperatures dropping to as low as 12 degrees Celsius.

As a means of staying warm, local workers don extra layers when venturing outside.

The weather at this time of year can be a severe challenge, although it is not enough to deter workers from their daily tasks.
