The partnership aims to enhance integrated urban services and elevate retail experience for residents and consumers.
Under the agreement, signed in the southern province of Tay Ninh, the two sides will deploy tailored retail formats across commercial spaces within T&T Group’s ecosystem.
Saigon Co.op’s subsidiary - Saigon Co.op Investment Development JSC (SCID) - which specializes in retail real estate development and mall operations, will serve as a consultant for project management as well as planning and operation of trade centers to ensure efficiency and optimized customer experience.
Do Vinh Quang, vice chairman of T&T Group, stated that the partnership leverages the strengths and ecosystems of both parties, paving the way for smart integration of retail into urban living.
"This is not just a commercial initiative - it’s part of T&T Group’s broader strategy to build holistic urban ecosystems that offer modern, convenient living spaces," he emphasized.
Echoing this sentiment, Pham Trung Kien, a representative from Saigon Co.op, highlighted that this collaboration will create modern living environments with integrated amenities where residents can fulfill daily needs such as shopping, dining, and entertainment right within their neighborhoods.
Saigon Co.op is now the retailer with the largest number of distribution models in Vietnam, including Co.opmart (mid-size supermarkets), Co.opXtra (hypermarkets), Co.opFood (food stores), Co.op Smile (grocery stores), Finelife (premium supermarkets), and Cheers 24h (convenience stores).
SCID, the retail property investment arm of Saigon Co.op, has played a key role in shaping Vietnam’s modern retail landscape with major commercial centers such as SC VivoCity in Ho Chi Minh City and the Sense mall chain across the country.
Meanwhile, T&T Group is a leading real estate developer in Vietnam, with major projects like T&T City Millennia in Tay Ninh province, T&T Victoria in Nghe An, Phuoc Tho Residential Area in Vinh Long, a new urban area in Ca Mau, and other large-scale developments in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong, and beyond.
