2020 is the last year to comprehensively accomplish the development strategies of the State Treasury until 2020. Therefore, the State Treasury system has deployed solutions and achieved key results, contributing to outstanding achievements of the whole Finance sector.

10 highlighted events of the State Treasury system in 2020 as follows: 

1. The State Treasury system has completed 100% of the connection with State budget-using units that are subject to transactions via online public service at level 4 and integration of administrative procedures on the National Public Service Portal under the direction of the Government and the Ministry of Finance. Thereby, improving the efficiency of controlling expenditures and using State budget capital, contributing to preventing and combating the Covid-19 pandemic.

2. The Government promulgated Decree No.11/2020/ND-CP dated January 20 for administrative procedures in the State Treasury area, which has created a unified and synchronous legal framework, and simplified administrative procedures, contributing to enhancing efficiency and reform of the State administration in the State budget management.

3. Celebrating the 30th anniversary of construction and development (April 1, 1990 - April 1, 2020), the State Treasury system has been recognized and appreciated by the Party and State leaders for its achievements, contributing to the successful accomplishment of assigned political tasks together with the Finance sector.

4. The State Treasury has implemented the safe and efficient management and administration of the State budget, contributing to enhancing the efficiency in the use of the State financial resources. It is expected that VND3,000 billion will be contributed to the central budget from the State Treasury fund.

5. The State Treasury has reformed and arranged the apparatus of the provincial State Treasuries and merged a number of district State Treasuries into the regional State Treasuries in the spirit of Resolution No.18-NQ/TW dated October 25, 2017 of the Party Central Committee on continuing to renovate and organize the State Treasury apparatus in the direction of administrative reform, streamlining, effectiveness and efficiency.

6. The State Treasury system has synthesised and made the State Financial Report in 2018 in accordance with the provisions of the Accounting Law and the plan on implementing the State Treasury Development Strategy to 2020.

7. Party Congress of the State Treasury at all levels in the entire State Treasury system has had great success with the motto Reform - Innovation - Modernization - Development.

8. The State Treasury held the 5th advanced typical conference of the State Treasury system and has been awarded the First Class Labor Medal by the State President.

9. The Minister of Finance promulgated the Decision on appointing Mr. Nguyen Duc Chi, Chairman of the Members' Council of State Capital Investment Corporation (SCIC) as General Director of the State Treasury(September 2020).

10. The State Treasury successfully defended the ministerial-level project on the State Treasury Development Strategy for 2021-2030.
