Thua Thien-Hue People’s Committee held a conference on April 6 to announce the province's long-term plans and promote investment in the central province.

At the conference, Nguyen Van Phuong, Chairman of Thua Thien-Hue People's Committee, granted investment certificates to 11 projects with a total registered capital sum of VND9.13 trillion ($365.6 million) along with documents approving investment plans for 10 projects,

LEC Group JSC is investing VND1.5 trillion ($60 million) to build a logistics centre at Chan May port. Meanwhile, MIT Group JSC is injecting VND2.2 trillion ($88 million) to develop a Creanza high-tech quartz sand processing plant. Another company, Dong Da Investment and Development JSC, will build three towers of condominiums in Dong Da for VND1.3 trillion ($52 million).

FPT Education will spend VND432.6 billion ($17.3 million) on an education complex in the locality, while TTH Group JSC plans to build a VND817 billion ($32.7 million) international hospital at the An Van Duong New Urban Area project.

Dat Phuong Hoi An is allocating VND113 billion ($4.5 million) to develop the technical infrastructure of Dien Loc Industrial Cluster, while An Vien Co., Ltd. is building Dien Loc 2 Industrial Cluster at a cost of VND93.6 billion ($3.7 million).

Investment certificates were also granted to EON Industry Limited for its $11.6 million helmet manufacturing factory and Dat Phuong Glass JSC for its $60 million Dat Phuong super white glass factory. Meanwhile, Frit Hue JSC will build a $24.4 million enamel frit production factory with an annual output of 150,000 tonnes.

Another company, Vietsoftpro Holdings, will build a data centre with a total registered capital of VND279.5 billion ($11.2 million).

The province also granted documents approving investment research policy for 10 projects, including Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park's expanded La Son Industrial Park ($280 million), BRG Group's 5-star Century Riverside Hue Hotel ($120 million), Daewon Group's urban area, ecotourism resort, and golf course project ($240 million), KX Group's luxury resort and golf course project ($789 million), and Hoa Phat's ecological urban area project ($881 million).

Newland Investment JSC, and Truong Son Construction Investment JSC will build a project in Thuy Thanh commune, Huong Thuy town worth about VND6 trillion ($240 million).

Xuan Thien Group JSC will invest in a Chan May green steel factory, a green steel seaport, and a housing project worth VND44 trillion ($1.76 billion) while Hai An Container Transport is to invest VND500 billion ($20 million) in the Hai An container repair and maintenance factory.
