All of them live in Ky Anh District.

Two of the men, aged 19 and 27, who live in Ky Phu Commune, were fined VND7.5 million each while a 61-year-old man in Ky Bac Commune had to pay VND5 million under a government decree on failing to take personal protective measures against the pandemic.

They had been in Covid-hit areas in Hanoi and left for their hometown between May 6 and June 1. They had been required to isolate themselves at home for two weeks.

But health authorities found out that all three had left their homes on different occasions and had not strictly complied with the isolation commitments they had signed.

They told the authorities they left their houses to deal with "personal business" and "did not fully understand isolation regulations."

In the current Covid wave that broke out in late April, Ha Tinh has recorded 22 cases.

It has imposed social distancing measures in some places in its namesake capital and Thanh Ha District.
