Regarding the publication of the series "Irregularity in the line of importing supercars as gifts" in Tien Phong Newspaper, referring to the inadequacies in the import of cars for non-commercial purposes, on May 24, the Minister of Finance requested the GDVC to urgently organize the inspection and check the contents reflected in the article, and strictly handle any violations in accordance with the provisions of law and report the results to the Ministry of Finance before June 2.

On May 24, the Government Office issued an express dispatch No. 3209/VPCP-KTTH conveying the direction of Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai on the handling and clarification of information reflected in the series "Irregular importation of donated supercars; Phase I: Poor households are given supercars” in Tien Phong newspaper.

Accordingly, Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai assigned the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Finance, based on their assigned functions, tasks and competence, to chair and coordinate with relevant agencies to urgently inspect and verify the information. In case of violations, they will be strictly handled in accordance with the provisions of law.

On May 24, Tien Phong Newspaper published a series of articles "Irregularity in the line of importing supercars as gifts: Poor households are given supercars" and a clip "Uncovering the line of importing supercars as gifts: The mystery of bogus businesses". It reflected the fact that a series of businesses importing cars as gifts disappeared immediately after the imported cars arrived. The most unusual thing is that there are 60-70 year old people or poor young people who are also given supercars.
